WHY PUP CLUB?

Pup Club offers a unique training opportunity for puppies and dogs of all ages. Pup Club is an immersive training program where your pup will learn various foundational, advanced, and social skills.

Training

WHAT IS PUP CLUB?

Pup Club is a positive reinforcement training and socialization program for puppies and dogs of all ages. Pup Club offers: Play and Learn, Puppy 1, Puppy 2, Adult 1, Adult 2, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC).

What is Puppy 1 and 2?

Puppy 1 is a 6-week long training and socialization program for puppies 10-20 weeks old, whereas Puppy 2 is for pups ages 6 months to a year. This program is a combination of 2 drop-off day training and one group class a week. Your puppy and any other enrolled in the class will attend two classes during the week for 3 hours and then we will all meet on Sundays to go over what the puppies learned that week.

This program covers a variety of foundational behaviors including sit, down, leave it, drop it, leash walking, mat work, and more! We will cover topics like mouthing and biting, polite greetings, and socialization. We are here to help answer any puppy questions you may have.

Puppies will have the opportunity for supervised play with other puppies in their class in a safe, controlled environment. We focus on using positive reinforcement training to create a lasting bond between you and your puppy!

What is a Play and Learn?

With a one-on-one approach, your pup will gain a better understanding of the task at hand and is more likely to progress quickly than a pup who has learned in a group setting. Pups must pass an evaluation with daycare prior to acceptance into the Play and Learn program. Pups will spend part of their day in daycare for socialization with other pups, the other part with the trainer for an hour for one-on-one training. Once training has been completed, they will return to daycare until picked up.

A DAY AT PUP CLUB?

Puppy 1 and 2

Puppies will be enrolled in either a morning or afternoon session, where they share that time with the other pups in their class for learning and playing.

A day at PupClub during Puppy 1 or two, Pups will have small training sessions and supervised play groups during their scheduled time with all their classmates. Puppies will be regularly walked outside for potty breaks. Puppies MUST be promptly picked up at the end of their session OR they can attend Daycare at Club Canine before or after Pup Club (1/2 day Daycare charges apply).

PLAY AND LEARN

Pup Club offers a unique training opportunity for pups of all ages. Pup Club is a positive training program where your pup will learn a variety of foundational, advanced, and social skills. All our programs and techniques are science-based and tailored to the individual pup and family.

This program is great for learning basic and advanced skills like sit, down, come, stay, heel, leave-it, place, and more. It’s also a great program for helping dogs socialize with humans and other dogs.

Services Offered

Puppy 1

8 weeks to 4 1/2 months old at the time of enrollment

Puppies will learn basic cues and manners in a low-distraction environment.

PUPPY 2

6 months to 1 year old at the time of enrollment

Puppies will learn basic cues and manners in a more distracting environment, building on what was learned in Puppy 1

ADULT 1

1 – 1.5 years old or older who have had little to no training at the time of enrollment

Dogs will learn basic cues and manners in a low-distraction environment

ADULT 2

Dogs who have completed basic training and wish to continue building on those basic skills, as well as an excellent prerequisite for those interested in the Canine Good Citizen Course

Dogs will learn more advanced cues in a more distracting environment, building on what was learned in Adult 1.

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

Dogs who have completed, at a minimum, an Adult 1 and/or Adult 2 course or have otherwise obtained the skills necessary for the Canine Good Citizen Course

An expert-made training program designed to help you and your dog be the best team you can be, whether you simply want your dog to be a good citizen or are interested in future therapy or service work.

AKC S.t.a.r. puppy

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy stands for Socialization, Activity, Training, and Responsibility. Upon passing the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test at the end of your puppy course, you will be able to send into the AKC to receive your official certificate. All dogs are welcome to participate in the program, including purebreds and mixed breeds. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy also provides a good gateway to earing the Canine Good Citizen title.

**It is highly recommended, however, that you enroll in an Adult 2 course before enrolling in a Canine Good Citizen course as a prerequisite. Many of the skills in the Adult 2 course will be extremely useful and can make your journey for the Canine Good Citizen less challenging. **

Vaccination Requirements

Vaccinations are required before puppies and dogs are accepted. Vaccinations must meet your veterinarian’s protocols based on your dog’s age.

Puppies: Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella, Leptospirosis, Heartworm Canine Influenza, Flea and Tick (12 mo.), and Negative Stool

Dogs: Rabies, Leptospirosis, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella, Heartworm Canine Influenza, Flea and Tick (12 mo.), and Negative Stool

* All puppies and dogs must be spayed/neutered at 6 months old to participate in daycare.
